Privacy and Personal Data Policy
Professor Conway is committed to preserving and safeguarding the privacy of his patients and the security of their personal data. Personal data includes any information which can identify an individual, such as your name or your address and any information which is stored alongside this identifying data. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you whilst you visit Professor Conway at the London Claremont Clinic. We seek to ensure that your personal data is never abused and that it is safeguarded to every extent possible. We update this policy from time to time so please do review it regularly.
The Data We Collect
In providing our services to you, we may collect and process the following data about you:

    Use of Your Personal Data
    We will use information about you to enable us to arrange appointments with Professor Conway and/or investigations or treatments to ensure that you are receiving care appropriate to your clinical needs.

    We will not disclose your personal data without your permission except in exceptional circumstances (i.e. life or death situations), unless we are required to do so by law.

    If you have been referred to us for consultation/investigation/treatment by another medical or allied professional, we may disclose details of your investigations/treatment to them where appropriate. We will discuss any disclosure with you in advance.

    You can ask for some information not to be shared but this may result in the delivery of your care being less efficient.              

    We may share your information with selected third parties including; clinical facilities, and we will share information about your treatment with us with your insurance company in line with the terms of the policy that you have in place with them.
    Disclosing Your Personal Data
    We will NEVER disclose your personal data or medical records to any other party unless you have given us verbal consent to do so (for an onward referral for medical investigations for example), or in the circumstances detailed below:
      Storing Your Personal Data
      All information you provide to us is stored on Professor Conway’s Filemaker database which is hosted securely online by FMP Host. Records are also kept at the London Claremont Clinic – you can find their privacy policy here: http://londonclaremontclinic.co.uk/privacy-policy
      When medical records are shared with third parties electronically, this is done through an encrypted file sharing service. Despite the fact that we do our utmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is treated and stored securely, unfortunately the sending of information via the internet is not totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data that you send us electronically, so sending such information is done entirely at your own risk.

      Access to Personal Data
      Under the GDPR you have a number of rights with regard to how your personal data is handled. You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some, or all, of your personal information, or if you want us to delete your records completely, please email Maria Klasson on admin@gconway.com or write to us at the following address: 50 – 52 New Cavendish Street London, W1G 8TL.
      If your personal details change, or it comes to your attention that the information we hold about you is inaccurate in any way please let us know and we will make the appropriate corrections.
